Joan Wood, Ph.D.Joan Wood is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice since 1984, Dr. Wood received her doctorate from Loyola University. She is a graduate of the clinical training program of the Family Institute of Chicago and served as vice-president of the Alumni Board. She also holds a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. As a former faculty member at Northeastern Illinois University, Dr. Wood taught graduate courses in family therapy, counseling techniques and research. Dr. Wood works with adolescents, adults, couples and families on a wide range of individual and relational issues. She also provides consultation services to schools and medical practices. James Fruehling, Ph.D. James Fruehling is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice since 1972. Dr. Fruehling received his doctorate from Northwestern University and was appointed to the graduate faculty where he taught classes in the Counseling Psychology program. Dr. Fruehling has served on the faculty of the graduate program in counseling at Northeastern Illinois University since 1975. He teaches courses in counseling theory, pschological testing, family counseling, personal loss and group and community systems. He also served as Department Chairman for 13 years. Dr. Fruehling has authored college texts and published articles in wide-ranging areas. He serves as a national consultant for family businesses in the area of organizational development.
